Stoddard County, MO (January 17, 2025) – A fatal head-on collision on County Rd 413, 1.5 miles north of Dexter, resulted in the death of one individual and left another with serious injuries.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:26 PM when a 2012 Nissan Titan traveling northbound crossed the center of the roadway and collided head-on with a southbound 2018 Dodge Citadel. Emergency responders, including Corporal G.T. Ulm and multiple assisting officers, arrived promptly to manage the scene.
The 27-year-old male driver of the Nissan Titan, a resident of Dexter, MO, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased later that evening at 9:22 PM by Dr. LaPlant at Mercy South in St. Louis. The 57-year-old female driver of the Dodge Citadel, a resident of Bloomfield, MO, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and subsequently towed from the scene by Robert’s Towing. The incident marks Troop E’s third fatality of 2025. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to this tragic event. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those involved.
