Ste. Genevieve, MO (December 20, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision occurred Thursday evening on northbound US-61, just north of Route H, resulting in moderate injuries and significant vehicle damage. Emergency responders were quick to arrive at the scene to provide assistance.
The accident took place at approximately 4:10 PM when a 2015 Ford F250 traveling north collided with a 2016 Polaris Ranger, which was heading south and attempting to make a left turn. The front of the Ford F250 struck the passenger side of the Polaris Ranger, causing the Ranger to overturn off the right side of the roadway.
The driver of the Polaris Ranger, a 57-year-old male from St. Mary, MO, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for treatment. The driver of the Ford F250, a 41-year-old male from Cutler, IL, was reportedly unharmed. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene.
Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol in managing the crash site and ensuring the safety of other motorists. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with the injured driver as he recovers.
