Head-On Collisions in California
Head-on collisions are among the most severe types of accidents, often resulting in fatalities or serious injuries. California, with its extensive highway network, sees numerous such incidents annually, particularly in rural areas like Stanislaus County, where high-speed two-lane roads are common.
The California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) identifies driver error, speeding, and impaired driving as significant causes of head-on crashes. Roads like Highway 132, which connect rural communities, can be especially hazardous due to limited visibility and high speed conditions.
