Stamford, CT (December 8, 2024) – A devastating 2nd alarm fire broke out early this morning at an end unit of a three-story wood row house located at 17 Clinton Ave. The incident occurred around 5:15 a.m., with flames visibly emanating from the first-floor windows upon the arrival of emergency responders.
Tragically, a victim was forced to leap from the rear of the building to escape the flames. The individual sustained life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to Stamford Hospital for treatment. Emergency responders, including Stamford Fire and Rescue crews, worked diligently to control the blaze and ensure the safety of those in the vicinity. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
