St. Petersburg, FL (November 3, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred late Friday night when a 60-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing Ulmerton Road. The collision took place around 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Ulmerton Road and 49th Street.
Preliminary reports indicate that the pedestrian was walking north in a marked crosswalk when a westbound Nissan Versa, driven by a 44-year-old man from Indian Harbor Beach, entered the intersection under a green traffic light. Unfortunately, the vehicle collided with the pedestrian, who sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
