St. Petersburg, FL (March 10, 2025) – A fatal DUI crash occurred Sunday night on 34th St N near 17th Ave N, leaving one woman dead and two others seriously injured, according to local authorities.
The crash took place at approximately 8 p.m. when 33-year-old Kyle Hill of Pinellas Park was driving a black Nissan Armada southbound in the middle lane. At the same time, a 35-year-old St. Petersburg man was driving a burgundy Honda Accord in the adjacent curb lane.
According to investigators, Hill’s vehicle failed to maintain its lane and struck the driver’s side of the Honda. The impact caused the Honda to veer off the road and crash into a concrete pole, which snapped and landed on top of the vehicle.
Hill’s Nissan Armada continued south, lost control, struck a tree in the median, and overturned multiple times before coming to a stop.
A passenger in the Honda, 28-year-old Arislenne Blanco of St. Petersburg, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin has been notified. The Honda’s driver and Hill were both transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in serious condition.
Hill has been charged with DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide. Investigators also confirmed that he was on probation for a felony battery conviction from 2024 and now faces an additional violation of probation charge.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Arislenne Blanco, and we wish a full recovery for the injured victims.
