St. Mary’s County, MD – One Seriously Injured in Four-Vehicle Collision on Three Notch Rd

St. Mary’s County, MD (September 9, 2024) – A four-vehicle accident occurred Sunday, September 8, on Three Notch Rd, resulting in one person suffering life-threatening injuries. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Medical Services responded around 4:17 p.m. to reports of the serious collision.

Andrew Jason Causey, 44, was driving southbound in the northbound lanes when his Ford Focus collided head-on with a Ram 1500 driven by Daniel James Heath. Causey sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center. No other individuals reported injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash, analyzing road conditions and other factors. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
