St. Louis, MO – Serious Injuries in Two-Vehicle Collision on I-270 Near Hwy 370

St. Louis, MO (September 17, 2024) – A two-vehicle crash on Monday, September 16, left one person seriously injured on I-270 northbound. South of Hwy 370. The incident occurred at 10:37 p.m. when a Hyundai Tucson, driven by Mark Bretz, 74. Changed lanes, and a Pontiac G8, driven by Marcus Neal, 28. Collided with the rear of the Hyundai. Authorities report the Pontiac was traveling too fast for conditions.

Bretz sustained serious injuries and was transported to SSM DePaul Hospital by the Northeast Fire Protection District.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
