Hit-and-Run Accidents in Missouri
Hit-and-run accidents pose serious risks to drivers and passengers, particularly on high-speed roadways like Interstate 170. These incidents can leave victims injured and struggling with medical expenses and vehicle damage, especially when the at-fault driver is not immediately identified.
Missouri law requires all drivers involved in a crash to remain at the scene and provide necessary information. When a driver flees, law enforcement must rely on witness statements, surveillance footage, and other investigative methods to locate the responsible party.
Even minor injuries from a hit-and-run can have long-term effects, leading to medical treatments, insurance challenges, and legal concerns. Victims of such crashes should seek medical attention immediately and report the incident to authorities as soon as possible.
