St. Louis, MO (December 5, 2024) – An injury accident occurred on the westbound lanes of Interstate 64, just west of Spoede Road, at approximately 9:08 AM. The crash involved two vehicles, including a 2020 Ford Transit Bus and a 2018 Ford F350. The accident was reported by MSGT. C.L. Pleasant of Troop C and involved moderate damage to both vehicles.
The Ford Transit Bus, driven by a 38-year-old female from St. Louis, MO, had slowed down for traffic ahead when the Ford F350, driven by a 61-year-old female from St. Louis, MO, rear-ended the bus. The impact of the collision caused the load being hauled by the F350 to strike the rear of the vehicle.
An occupant of the bus, a 39-year-old male from Ballwin, MO, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by West County Fire for medical treatment. Thankfully, both drivers involved in the crash were wearing safety devices, and no further injuries were reported.
The St. Louis Police Department, along with Trooper S.C. Clair responded to the scene, and the incident is currently under investigation.
