St. Louis, MO (January 22, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision occurred late Tuesday morning on Ladue Road, just east of Graybridge Road, claiming the life of one driver. The crash, which involved two vehicles, was reported at approximately 10:39 a.m.
Authorities at the scene reported that a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander, driven by a 48-year-old male from St. Louis, failed to maintain its lane while traveling eastbound. The vehicle veered into the westbound lane, directly into the path of a 2016 Toyota 4Runner driven by a 43-year-old male, also from St. Louis. The driver of the Toyota managed to stop his vehicle in an attempt to avoid the collision, but the Mitsubishi’s front end struck the Toyota head-on.
Emergency responders from Ladue Fire and EMS rushed to the scene and transported the 48-year-old Mitsubishi driver to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, where he was pronounced deceased at 11:23 a.m. by Dr. Davis. The Toyota driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, avoided significant injury but remained at the scene for further assessment. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the site by Terry’s Towing.
