St. Johns County, FL (October 17, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred Wednesday morning involving a 61-year-old man who died after his SUV struck a pickup truck in St. Johns County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident took place when an SUV was traveling south on State Road 207 in the left lane.
At the same time, a pickup truck was stopped in the right-turn lane of Cypress Links Boulevard. Reports indicate that the SUV veered across lanes towards Cypress Links Boulevard and collided with the left side of the pickup truck. Following the collision, the SUV continued along the shoulder of SR-207 before coming to a stop.
Unfortunately, the injuries sustained by the driver of the SUV were fatal. The driver of the pickup truck was reported to have sustained minor injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the cause and contributing factors.
