St. Francois County, MO (November 11, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident occurred early Monday morning on Highway 32, approximately 0.25 miles east of Flat River Rd, claiming the life of a 48-year-old female from Farmington, MO.
The incident was reported at approximately 1:50 AM. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by a 19-year-old male from Bismarck, MO, was traveling westbound when it struck the pedestrian, who was in lane 2. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at 4:15 AM by the St. Francois County Coroner, Jason Coplin.
The Chevrolet Colorado sustained minor damage and was removed from the scene by Buckley’s Towing. The driver, who was wearing a safety device, was not injured. Emergency responders, including the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department and the Major Crash Investigative Unit, were on the scene to assist with the investigation.
