St. Francois County, MO (December 25, 2024) – A devastating crash occurred Tuesday evening on Route OO, south of Route F, claiming the lives of three individuals, including two young children. The incident was reported at approximately 7:28 PM.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2004 Ford F150, driven by a 28-year-old woman from Valley Mines, MO, veered off the left side of the road and struck a tree. The driver and two juvenile occupants sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by the St. Francois County Coroner at 9:45 PM. A 6-year-old male occupant was pronounced deceased earlier at Parkland Health Center – Farmington by Dr. Brown at 8:28 PM. A 4-year-old male occupant succumbed to his injuries at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, where he was pronounced deceased by Dr. Zanaboni at 9:50 PM. All victims were transported to their respective locations by emergency services.
The vehicle sustained total damage and was removed from the scene by Marler’s Towing. Troopers C.J. Walker and R.J. Steele, along with the Major Crash Investigation Unit, assisted with the investigation.
