St. Charles, MO (February 13, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound ramp from Missouri Highway 364 to Missouri Highway 94 left one driver injured Wednesday evening. The accident occurred at approximately 6:03 p.m. and involved three vehicles, including one that fled the scene.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 24-year-old man from St. Charles was driving a 2001 Mazda Miata when he attempted to avoid other vehicles on the roadway. He lost control, and his vehicle came to rest, blocking both lanes of the ramp. Another vehicle, which has not been identified, approached and struck the left rear of the Mazda before leaving the scene. Shortly after, a 2014 Subaru Impreza driven by a 17-year-old girl from Washington, MO, attempted to avoid the stopped Mazda but collided with its right rear.
Emergency responders from the St. Charles City Fire Department arrived to assist, and the driver of the Mazda sustained injuries. He was transported to SSM Health Saint Joseph Hospital St. Charles for treatment. The Subaru driver was not reported injured. Both vehicles remaining at the scene were towed by A1 Towing.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash and are searching for the unidentified vehicle that left the scene.
Our thoughts are with the injured driver, and we hope for a full recovery.
Multi-Vehicle Accidents and Hit-and-Run Crashes in Missouri
Multi-vehicle crashes, like the recent collision on the Highway 364 ramp, often result in significant roadway disruptions and increased injury risks. In cases where a vehicle leaves the scene, victims may face additional challenges in seeking compensation and accountability.
Hit-and-run accidents can complicate insurance claims, especially if the at-fault driver is not identified. Missouri law requires drivers involved in accidents to remain at the scene and report the incident. When a driver flees, authorities may rely on witness statements, traffic cameras, and other evidence to track them down.
For individuals injured in such crashes, recovering from medical expenses, vehicle repairs, and other losses can be difficult. Seeking legal and professional guidance can help victims navigate their options and ensure they receive the support they need.
