Springvale Twp, MN (January 23, 2025) – Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 95 and Flamingo Street in Springvale Township on Tuesday evening. The crash, which occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m., involved a westbound 2016 Chevrolet Silverado and an eastbound 2017 Ford F350.
According to initial reports, the Chevrolet Silverado crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with the Ford F350. Both drivers, identified as 34-year-old Chelsey Marie Sanz of Cambridge and 21-year-old Devyn Lloyd Opp of Saint Francis, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both individuals were transported to HCMC for medical care. Emergency responders, including Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, Cambridge Fire, Allina EMS, and LifeLink, were on the scene, providing immediate assistance to the injured parties.
The airbag in the Ford F350 deployed, and its driver was confirmed to have been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Chevrolet Silverado’s airbag deployment status and seatbelt use were unclear. Authorities also noted that alcohol was involved on the part of the Chevrolet Silverado driver.
