Springhill, AR (December 24, 2024) – A multi-vehicle collision on US Highway 65 in Faulkner County resulted in one fatality and two injuries on Sunday evening, according to local authorities. The crash occurred at approximately 7:58 p.m. near 532 US Highway 65.
The Arkansas State Police reported that Michael A. Dickey, 51, of Greenbrier, the driver of a 2023 Ford (Vehicle 1), tragically died in the collision. The accident involved two additional vehicles: a 2023 Tesla (Vehicle 2) and a 2008 Toyota (Vehicle 3).
Vehicles 1 and 2 were traveling northbound on US Highway 65 when Vehicle 1, traveling in the #1 traffic lane, moved into the #2 traffic lane, striking the Tesla on its right side. The Ford then rotated counter-clockwise, crossing the center turn lane and entering the southbound #2 traffic lane. It collided with the front bumper of the southbound Toyota (Vehicle 3).
Injuries Reported:
- Cassandra Post, 35, of Irvin, CA, a passenger in the Toyota, sustained injuries and was transported to Baptist Conway.
- Linda J. Beasley, 67, of Greenbrier, the driver of the Toyota, was also injured and taken to Baptist Conway for further treatment.
The crash occurred under clear skies and dry road conditions. Emergency crews worked to transport the injured to nearby medical facilities while the body of the deceased was taken to the Faulkner County Coroner’s Office.
