Springfield, MO (September 9, 2024) – A serious collision occurred on Sunday, September 8, at 7:55 p.m. on Farm Rd 164, about 0.2 miles southwest of Springfield. John L. Sullivan II, 42, was seriously injured when his 2022 Harley Davidson struck the rear of a 2016 Subaru Forester.

Mitchell Weiss, 68, driving the Subaru, had minor damage to his vehicle and left the scene. Sullivan, who was not wearing a safety device, was transported by EMS to Cox South for treatment.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Authorities will provide more information as it becomes available.
