Wrong-Way Crashes in Washington State
Wrong-way collisions, like the one on I-90 near Spokane, are among the most dangerous types of traffic accidents, often resulting in severe injuries or fatalities. Such incidents are frequently attributed to driver confusion, medical emergencies, or impairment, although WSP has ruled out drugs or alcohol in this case.
Washington State sees several wrong-way crashes annually, with I-90 being a particularly busy and high-risk route due to its heavy traffic flow and multiple interchanges. Drivers are urged to remain vigilant, follow road signage closely, and report any suspected wrong-way drivers to authorities immediately.
For survivors of such crashes, the road to recovery can be challenging. Injured victims may face extensive medical expenses, loss of income, and emotional trauma. Washington law allows victims to seek compensation for these damages when negligence or other factors contribute to the crash.
It is essential for families and survivors to consult with legal professionals to understand their rights and ensure fair treatment when dealing with insurance companies or pursuing claims.
