Spartanburg County, SC (January 29, 2025) – A pedestrian tragically lost their life after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening on SC Highway 9 near Boiling Springs.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP), the accident occurred at approximately 6:58 p.m. near the intersection of Milliken Rd. Investigators reported that a Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on the highway when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported the injured pedestrian to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the victim. SCHP and the coroner’s office continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
