Sparta, WI (September 17, 2024) – A serious crash on Interstate 90 near Exit 28 resulted in two fatalities and two severe injuries. The eastbound lanes between Sparta and Tomah were closed for several hours  Tuesday night, September 17.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, where one person was airlifted for treatment. Traffic was diverted to Sth 16 while authorities cleared the area.
