Southington, CT (February 18, 2025) – A 32-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on West Street near Jude Lane on Tuesday night.
According to the Southington Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:35 p.m. in front of the Metro Gas Station. A vehicle traveling southbound on West Street struck the woman as she walked in the southbound lane.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and provided medical aid before transporting the victim to The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s New Britain campus. Authorities reported that she suffered significant head and lower extremity injuries and remains in serious condition.
The driver involved in the crash left the scene but later contacted the police from home. Officials confirmed that the driver lives a short distance from the accident site and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. No charges have been announced at this time.
