Pedestrian Fatalities in Georgia
Pedestrian-involved crashes are a growing concern in Georgia, particularly on high-speed roadways like Cobb Parkway. Many accidents occur at night, when visibility is reduced and crossing outside of marked crosswalks increases the risk of being struck by a vehicle.
According to state data, Georgia reports hundreds of pedestrian fatalities each year, with many occurring in urban and suburban areas where traffic congestion and limited pedestrian infrastructure create dangerous conditions.
Safety experts recommend that pedestrians use designated crosswalks whenever possible and wear reflective clothing in low-light conditions. Drivers are also urged to remain vigilant, particularly in areas where foot traffic is common.
For families affected by pedestrian crashes, legal guidance can help them understand their rights and explore options for justice and compensation.
