Smithfield, RI (December 17, 2024) – An investigation is underway after a 20-year-old man was killed in a crash on Putnam Pike in Smithfield on Monday, December 15. According to Smithfield police, officers responded to the scene near 777 Putnam Pike at around 5:30 PM for a report of a crash involving two vehicles.
One of the drivers, a man from North Attleboro, was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. The other driver and a juvenile passenger were also taken to the hospital. While their injuries were reported, the extent of their conditions remains unknown at this time.
