Six Lakes, MI (November 24, 2024) – A tragic crash on M-46 early Friday morning resulted in one fatality and one injury after a vehicle struck a deer, causing a collision with another car. The incident occurred around 5:19 a.m., according to the Michigan State Police (MSP).
A Dodge Ram, driven by a 30-year-old man from Remus, was traveling westbound when it struck a deer. The impact caused the truck to cross the centerline, where it collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Impala.
The driver of the Impala, a 44-year-old man from Morley, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge Ram sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by MSP.
