At approximately 5:25 AM, Sioux County deputies responded to a collision at the intersection of 390th St and Garfield Ave, located three miles west of Sioux Center. The crash involved a Honda Fit and a Chevrolet Impala, and authorities are conducting a joint investigation with the Iowa State Patrol. Tragically, one passenger in the Honda Fit, 28-year-old Maikol Segobia of Chicago, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The three remaining passengers from the two vehicles, including the drivers, were all transported to Sioux Center Health for treatment. Two of the passengers were later transferred to other hospitals for further care.
