Shreveport, LA (March 9, 2025) – A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Interstate 20 W near Hearne Avenue on Friday evening. The accident occurred around 6:15 p.m., prompting an emergency response from local authorities.
According to the Shreveport Police Department, several calls were made reporting a female walking in the middle of the interstate. Before officers could arrive, she was struck by the side mirror of a passing vehicle.
Medics transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she remains in serious condition. Authorities have not released her identity or additional details regarding the incident.
