Shreveport, LA (September 30, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred in the Queensborough neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, September 29 resulting in the death of a 4-year-old girl. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s office has identified the child as Ariyah Osborne.
According to police reports, the incident took place at the intersection of Hardy and San Jacinto streets. Ariyah was a passenger in a car that had stopped due to mechanical problems. As the vehicle came to a halt, Ariyah exited the car and stood by the open door. Unfortunately, the car began to roll, knocking her down before rolling over her.
Emergency responders transported Ariyah to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The Shreveport police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident.
