Shandon, CA (October 7, 2024) – A serious motorcycle accident occurred on Highway 46 East on Friday afternoon, resulting in major injuries to the motorcyclist involved. At approximately 3:00 p.m. on October 6, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the motorcyclist was traveling westbound when they collided with a gray SUV near the Shandon Rest Area.

The force of the collision caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from the bike, landing in the westbound lane of the highway.
