Sevier County, UT (December 12, 2024) – A fatal crash occurred Wednesday night near the intersection of State Route 24 and State Route 259 in Sevier County. Around 9 p.m., a Nissan Pathfinder, traveling west on S.R. 24, was preparing to turn onto S.R. 259 northbound when the collision took place. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the driver of the Nissan Pathfinder failed to notice a gold Nissan Sentra traveling eastbound through the intersection. The left front of both vehicles collided, resulting in significant damage.
Tragically, the crash led to the death of one individual, though the identity of the victim has not yet been released. Emergency responders arrived on the scene, but despite their efforts, the injured person succumbed to their injuries. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the crash and whether factors such as visibility or speed played a role.
