Seneca Falls, NY (February 15, 2025) – A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on Friday night, claiming the life of one individual and leaving others with serious injuries on Route 414 near Salcman Road.
According to Seneca Falls Police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 8:55 p.m. Upon arrival, first responders confirmed that the crash involved two vehicles and resulted in multiple injuries. Tragically, a passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles suffered severe but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for further treatment. Authorities have not released the identities of the victims, stating that the incident remains under investigation.
Emergency Response and Road Closure
A large emergency response was required due to the severity of the crash. Seneca Falls Fire Department reported that firefighters from Clyde and Waterloo assisted in extricating a crash victim from one of the vehicles due to heavy entrapment.

Officials confirmed that Route 414 was closed for several hours as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene. The roadway was finally reopened at 1 a.m. Saturday.
