Seminole, OK (February 5, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 outside of Seminole resulted in three fatalities and multiple injuries on Saturday night.
Emergency responders, including Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and local medics, arrived at the scene to provide urgent care. The crash involved several vehicles, including a Chevrolet Silverado, a Honda Accord, a Chevrolet Trax, a Honda Fit, and a Kia Optima.
According to officials, Corey Meek, 41, who was driving a Chevrolet Silverado, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Timothy Warmack, 30, the driver of a Honda Accord, also succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A passenger in Warmack’s vehicle, 29-year-old Makayla Leach, tragically lost her life as well.
Jason Starkey, 53, the driver of a Chevrolet Trax, was transported to OU Trauma Center in stable condition. A 12-year-old female passenger in Starkey’s vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital and later released.
Terry Harrison, 52, who was driving a Honda Fit, sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition. Craig Chartney, 61, the driver of a Kia Optima, and his passenger, 58-year-old Heather Chartney, were not injured in the accident.
Authorities have yet to determine the exact cause of the crash, and an investigation remains ongoing.
