Scottsville, KY (December 18, 2024) – A devastating head-on collision occurred Wednesday afternoon on New Glasgow Road (US 31E), resulting in two fatalities and leaving one person critically injured. Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 03 in Bowling Green was alerted to the crash by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 1:40 PM.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Roger Tooley, 77, of Scottsville, crossed the centerline into the path of a 2013 Kia Optima operated by Amanda Robledo, 40, also of Scottsville. The impact caused catastrophic damage to both vehicles.
Rebecca Tooley, 81, a passenger in the Chevrolet, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. Both drivers, Mr. Tooley and Ms. Robledo, were airlifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Tragically, Ms. Robledo later succumbed to her injuries.
Detective Bo Hubbard will lead the ongoing investigation into the crash. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and KSP personnel are assisting with the case.
