Scottsville, KY (December 18, 2024) – A devastating collision occurred Tuesday afternoon on New Glasgow Road (US 31E), leaving two people dead and two others injured. The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 03 responded to the incident following a request for assistance from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 1:40 PM.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Roger Tooley, 77, of Scottsville, crossed the centerline into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a 2013 Kia Optima driven by Amanda Robledo, 40, also of Scottsville. Tragically, Rebecca Tooley, 81, a passenger in the Chevrolet, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
Both drivers sustained critical injuries and were airlifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Sadly, Amanda Robledo later succumbed to her injuries.
Detective Bo Hubbard will lead the ongoing reconstruction investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the collision. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and additional Kentucky State Police personnel are assisting with the case.
Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims during this heartbreaking time, and we hope for a full recovery for Mr. Tooley.
