Scott County, MO (January 23, 2025) – A rear-end collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV occurred Wednesday afternoon on County Rd 539, half a mile north of Miner, Missouri. The crash resulted in injuries to the motorcyclist, who was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident happened at approximately 3:20 p.m. A northbound 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by an 18-year-old male from Sikeston, struck the rear of a 1988 Chevrolet S10 Blazer, also traveling northbound. The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn.
The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was transported by EMS to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO, for treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 48-year-old male from Sikeston, was not injured and was able to drive his vehicle from the scene.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage. The motorcycle was removed by a family member, while the SUV remained operational.
