San Simon, AZ (September 15, 2024) – A catastrophic collision on westbound I-10 near milepost 391 resulted in three fatalities and two serious injuries, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The accident occurred near the Arizona/New Mexico border in San Simon on Saturday, September 14.

The crash involved a semi-truck and a car, both heading west, which led to the car’s occupants’ deaths and severe injuries for two others. Additionally, the semi-truck caught fire during the incident, and the condition of its driver is currently unknown.

Traffic on westbound I-10 is closed, with detours via US HWY 70 to US 191. The identities of those involved remain undisclosed as the investigation continues.
