San Bernardino, CA (December 11, 2024) – A hit and run crash with injuries was reported at 2:42 PM today on the I-210 Eastbound, just west of the SR-259 interchange near H Street in San Bernardino. Emergency crews responded promptly to assist those involved and manage the scene.
The crash initially involved a gold truck and a silver SUV, with the suspect vehicle fleeing the scene. Witnesses reported following the suspect vehicle for a period before the driver ran on foot. A male individual, described as being barefoot and wearing black pants, a red shirt, and a gray sweater, was found walking away from the scene. The individual appeared intoxicated and had reportedly soiled himself. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and searching for the suspect driver.
Emergency responders, including fire crews, were quickly on the scene to provide medical care to the injured parties. The extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Authorities are also seeking assistance in locating the suspect driver, who is described as a male. CHP units were deployed, and a rotation tow was requested to clear the vehicles involved.
