San Antonio, TX (January 27, 2025) – A tragic three-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon left an 80-year-old woman dead and a 21-year-old man hospitalized. The crash occurred around 3:30 PM at the intersection of South Loop 410 and South Presa.
According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), preliminary investigations revealed that two vehicles were stopped at the intersection when a third vehicle, described as a sedan, came speeding in and struck both vehicles. Emergency responders from the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) arrived on the scene and found the elderly woman deceased.
Authorities reported that a 21-year-old man sustained a broken leg and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the speeding sedan, identified as a 51-year-old man, was determined to be driving while intoxicated. He now faces charges of intoxication manslaughter and causing injury to another individual.
