Salem, WI (September 9, 2024) – Reid Hansche, a high school cross-country runner, was critically injured after being hit by a car during a practice session. The incident occurred on Friday, September 6 near Westosha Central High School. He sustained severe injuries to his head and lungs.
Flight for Life transported Hansche to Children’s Wisconsin, where he is being treated for multiple injuries, including brain bleeding, a fractured skull, a broken orbital bone, and a fractured nose. A vigil is planned for 7:15 p.m. Sunday at the school to support him.
