Saint Joseph, MN (October 22, 2024) – An injury accident occurred on the evening of October 21 at the intersection of Highway 23 and Bel Clare Drive. The incident was reported at approximately 7:32 p.m. and involved two vehicles, a 2011 Ford Taurus and a 2023 Ford F250.
According to preliminary reports, the Ford Taurus was crossing Highway 23 from Bel Clare Drive when it collided with the southbound Ford F250. Fortunately, the road conditions were dry at the time of the accident, which may have contributed to the handling of the vehicles involved.
Emergency responders from the Waite Park Police Department and Waite Park Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. The driver of the Ford Taurus, Jarell Maryelli Andrade, a 23-year-old female from Saint Cloud, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Saint Cloud Hospital for medical evaluation. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, and the vehicle’s airbag deployed during the collision.
Also in the Ford Taurus was a passenger, Ilsa Lisbeth Guzman, a 19-year-old female from Saint Cloud, who similarly suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the same hospital. She was also wearing her seatbelt, and there was no alcohol involved in either of their cases.
The driver of the Ford F250, Nicholas Michael Kremer, a 38-year-old male from Richmond, did not sustain any injuries and did not require medical attention. He was also wearing his seatbelt, and no airbag deployment occurred in his vehicle. Alcohol was not a factor in this incident.
