Sage Twp, MI (March 5, 2025) – Two men were injured in a head-on crash involving a vehicle and an Amish carriage early Monday morning in Gladwin County.
The Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to the scene on Bard Rd at approximately 6:25 a.m. Upon arrival, officials found a vehicle in a ditch on the west side of the road, a severely damaged Amish carriage, and a deceased horse.
A 27-year-old man from Clare County, who was operating the carriage, sustained injuries and was transported to MyMichigan Gladwin emergency room before being transferred to Ann Arbor for further treatment.
The driver of the vehicle, a 53-year-old man from Beaverton, was also injured and taken to MyMichigan Gladwin for medical care. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash, and an investigation remains ongoing.
