Sacramento, CA (January 11, 2025) – Emergency responders were dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident involving minor injuries Friday night on SR-99 N near the 47th Ave East off-ramp. The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 PM and involved at least seven vehicles.
According to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision was initiated by a single vehicle spinning out after colliding with a large piece of cement in the roadway. Other vehicles, including a gray Tesla Model 3, were subsequently involved in the crash. All airbags in the affected vehicles were deployed, and some lanes were blocked, leading to significant traffic delays.
CHP confirmed multiple parties were shaken up, with some visibly distressed, though no major injuries involving visible blood were reported. Emergency medical services were dispatched to assess and treat the involved parties. Tow services were required to remove at least two vehicles from the scene.
The #1 lane remained blocked during the cleanup operation, and traffic in the area was heavily backed up. Crews worked to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.
