South Los Angeles, CA (January 4, 2025) – A woman was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident near the intersection of Century Blvd and South Figueroa St in South Los Angeles. The collision occurred around midnight on January 1, in the Vermont Vista area.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident began when the woman crashed her car near a gas station and was walking away from the scene. She was then struck by another vehicle, whose driver fled the scene following the crash. Tragically, the woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.
Authorities later located and arrested the driver involved in the hit-and-run. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
