Ruskin, FL – Deputy Injured in DUI Crash at SR-674 & 15th St

Ruskin, FL (September 15, 2024) – A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputy was seriously injured Saturday night after a DUI-related crash. Around 10:30 p.m., 25-year-old Uriel Garcia Nestor allegedly ran a stop sign at 15th St and collided with Deputy Ivan Clark’s unmarked Chevy Tahoe on SR-674.

The impact caused Clark’s vehicle to flip, ejecting him. He was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries but is now in stable condition. Nestor was arrested for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. Authorities continue investigating the incident.
