Roundup, MT (September 6, 2024) – A head-on crash on Tuesday, September 3, resulted in two fatalities and one injury. The accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. on US Hwy 87, about 15 miles north of Roundup. A Chevrolet pickup truck drifted into the oncoming lane, colliding with a Ford truck. The 68-year-old Ford driver and the 28-year-old Chevrolet driver both died. A 66-year-old female passenger in the Ford was injured, but her condition is unknown.

Authorities have not released the names of the deceased, and it’s unclear if seat belts were worn. Montana Highway Patrol suspects alcohol, drugs, and speed may have contributed to the crash. More information is expected as the investigation continues.
