Round Lake Beach, IL (September 11, 2024) – A 45-year-old woman is in serious condition after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while crossing Rollins Rd near Oak Ave. Authorities responded to the scene around 7:50 p.m. The unknown vehicle, traveling eastbound, fled without stopping after the crash.

The woman, who suffered a head injury, was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center and is currently in intensive care. Her condition is improving. Police are actively investigating the incident and searching for the driver. The investigation remains ongoing.
