Rosamond, CA (September 23, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. At approximately 3:31 a.m. on September 22, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Mojave Area officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Rosamond Boulevard, located east of 50th Street West.
Preliminary reports indicate that Ms. Erin Goodman, a resident of Lancaster, CA, was driving a 2018 Ford Fusion eastbound on Rosamond Boulevard when she struck an adult pedestrian who was walking in the eastbound lane. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene but unfortunately pronounced the pedestrian deceased.
Ms. Goodman remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the investigation. Authorities determined that she was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident. The sobriety of the pedestrian is still under investigation. Officer A. Wenciker (ID 23045) is leading the investigation into this tragic incident.
