Rogers, MN (January 15, 2025) – A significant injury accident occurred on westbound Interstate 94 near Highway 101 in Rogers, Hennepin County. Emergency responders were quick to the scene, providing care to the injured victims. The collision involved three vehicles: a 2001 KIA Sportage, a 2025 Toyota Sienna, and a 2012 Dodge Ram.
The crash was reported at approximately 3:57 p.m. as traffic on I-94 was backed up. The driver of the KIA Sportage, identified as 33-year-old Krista Kay Voerding from Big Lake, MN, swerved to avoid the traffic in her lane, resulting in a collision with the Dodge Ram and Toyota Sienna. The KIA eventually came to rest against a guardrail.
Krista Voerding suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by North Memorial EMS to a local healthcare facility for treatment. Both the Toyota Sienna and Dodge Ram drivers, identified as Matthew Alan Pavlik, 38, of Otsego, MN, and Erik Zenen Torres Gutierrez, 44, of Buffalo, MN, reported no injuries. A passenger in the Dodge Ram, Arnulfo Mancilla Artero, 44, of Albertville, MN, was also uninjured. All parties involved were confirmed to have been wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The Rogers Fire Department and Police Department, along with North Memorial EMS, responded to the scene. Preliminary reports indicate dry road conditions at the time of the incident. Authorities have not reported alcohol involvement and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
