Rocky Hill, CT (January 13, 2025) – A tragic accident on Sunday evening claimed the life of a pedestrian on the Silas Deane Highway near the I-91 overpass. The incident occurred at approximately 5:20 PM, according to Rocky Hill Police.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the victim, identified as 59-year-old Bisera Djurkovic of Rocky Hill, to the hospital. Despite their efforts, Djurkovic succumbed to her injuries.
The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Police have not released further details about the circumstances of the incident.
