Rockland, ME (September 19, 2024) – A two-vehicle crash on Route 1 in Rockland Wednesday afternoon, September 18 resulted in one driver being hospitalized and another facing multiple charges. The crash occurred around 2 p.m., and one driver was transported to Pen Bay Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The second driver, identified as Ashley Deahl, attempted to flee the scene, providing officers with false information before running off. Deahl, who was out on five sets of bail and had four active warrants, was apprehended shortly after.
Police discovered evidence of drug use in Deahl’s vehicle, and a passenger was found to be in violation of probation. The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
